Why is Lasting Change so Difficult for Leaders?
Because change requires more than new behaviours or strategies. It demands a shift in how leaders see themselves—their core identity. Many leaders unknowingly operate from a self-concept shaped by childhood experiences or past situations that no longer serves them today. This creates an incompatibility between their identity and the behaviours they need to thrive in the present.
My mission is to help leaders uncover and release these self-limiting beliefs, so they can build an identity that aligns with their full potential. By doing so, they don’t just change their behaviour—they transform how they lead, influence, and show up in the world.
Over the last 13 years, I’ve partnered with more than 18,000 leaders, across four continents, helping them break through this identity gap. Through my firm, Starlingbrook Leadership Consulting, and programs like Leading Mindfully, I provide neuroscience-based coaching and mental health strategies to help leaders align their self-concept with their aspirations.
